The Saltiga BJ has been designed for Bay Jigging styles.  This consists of fishing directly below your boat with slow almost minimalist animations on the lure. Ideally suited for Madai Jig rigs the reel lends itself to any slow vertical styles with big soft baits, live bait####slow jigging.  The latest generation ATD drag system is lubricated with a new composite that activates the drag rapidly and keeps it smooth and steady when playing fish.   This greatly reduces the risk of line breaks on the bite.  The drag can be adjusted very precisely thanks to the large and solid single-piece star lever.  Unusually for a baitcasting reel, the drag clicks when it starts running - like a spinning reel!  As well as the automatic anti-reverse the reel features a mechanical anti-reverse lock to guarantee total locking of the spool when playing hard fighting fish. The oval body shape is designed to be held comfortably and securely in your palm.

The single piece aluminium body cut on a digital machine houses an exceptional mechanism guided by a MagSealed magnetic drive.  The Hyper Digigear pinion is made from salt resistant C6191 ultra-strong bronze and the line guide and gears are synchronised for perfect line lay.
